Project „Unraveling the grammars of European sign languages: pathways to full citizenship of deaf signers and to the protection of their linguistic heritage” within The European Commission financed program COST – European Cooperation in the Field of Scientific and Technical Research (campaign IS1006).

The aim of this project is to develop models describing grammar of European sign languages, through which future comparative research of visual-spatial grammar will be possible. An exchange of experience concerning methods of eliciting sign language texts would also be a result of this work. Also participating in the project- aside from the Section for Sign Linguistics (PLM)- are other sign linguistics teams from i.a. Milan, Hamburg, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Gottingen, and London.
